Hello! My name is Lydia! I am originally from the United States, but have been living in Spain for over 3 years now. I have over 10 years of both professional and familial experience in childcare. I started working in a nursery as a teenager and went on to work in an after-school program in high school. I worked at summer camps throughout college and, upon graduation, took a position as a nanny for a family with a 9-month-old daughter. I spent a year with them and then worked for a family with a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy during the summer, before starting a job with the Girl Scouts (como Federación Española de Guidismo aqui en España). I moved to Granada and taught English in a primary school for two years, and then returned to my hometown in the States to teach there for a year, before returning this past year to teach English at CEU San Pablo in Murcia. Additionally, I have provided clases particulares en ingles to several families during my time in Spain and hope to continue to do so upon my return to Granada. Also, I am currently enrolled in ICSE and taking courses to earn my grado superior in Early Childhood Education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, TEFL certification, and I am first aid certified. I would love to help your family out in anyway I can!
I am willing to negotiate pay, but given my experience and the average hourly rate for nannies in Spain, I believe this is a fair rate.
