Maria, niñera en Irun

My name is María García from Spain and I am 23 years old. I consider myself as a sociable, reliable, cheerful, optimistic and helpful person. I am a graduate in Primary Education with a Minor in Therapeutic Pedagogy at the Public University of Navarra. I was sure about my decision of choosing this degree because I have always loved children. Moreover, since I was a child, I have been surrounded by my little cousins that is something that I have enjoyed.
During this year 2015 I have been participating in European Voluntary Service at YMCA working in the different nurseries ( YMCA Bath City Centre Nursery, YMCA Little Fir Tree, Melksham and YMCA Little Shoots Nursery, Trowbridge) and in After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs, the children aged 4-11 (Moorlands Infants School Club, Olfields After School Club, St John’s Holiday Club).
I've done babysitting during my career in Spain and this year here in England, some nights or weekends.
During my studies at University I have done a volunteer project at the Public University of Navarra, called Nightingale mentoring, which recruited children 8-12 years with immigrant background. The aim of the Nightingale project was to give the child a positive role model through a personal relationship and thereby strengthen the child's confidence in its own potentials and abilities. Moreover, I was in a Learning Community (García Galdeano School) involved in several projects such as the reconstruction of the school’s playground and participating in interactive groups. I had also the opportunity of being one of organizers of the summer camp in El Pilar School (Irún) for two years.
Apart from all the above mentioned, I would like to add that I have:

- First Aid Training: Emergency Life Support Session for Babies and Children
- An Introduction to Safeguarding Children V3
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygyene for Catering

Another thing that I would like to mention is that I have been closed to the world of dance, I love it.
