Xavier, chico au pair en Alquerias de santa barbara

Dear family,

I have very good references from some friends and my girldfriend herself about being an aupair in London. So I am really excited with the idea of visiting and living in another country with other people while improving my english and meeting new friends there.

I am a quite familiar, sociable guy (we are 6 siblings!) and I am used to live with many others. And I am used to be with childs of different ages. We have a nephew who is already 1 year old and my girlfriend, Almudena, has 6 nephews living really close to me. So I have taken care about them lots of times during this last year.

My common name is Xavi and I live in a town called Burriana (near to Valencia). I am 23 and the fourth sibling of a family with the 8 following members:

--> Father: His name is also Xavi. He is 53 and works as physical education teacher in a secondary public school.

--> Mother: Her name is Rosa and is also 53. She is a primary public school teacher. Both of them work in the public spanish education system.

--> Marta, 27: She is the first sister and mother of my nephew, Joaquín. She got married two years ago with Esteban, and both are also teachers in private schools around Burriana.

--> Isabel, 26: Isabel is the second. She studied "English Studies" in the university, so she speaks English really good. Nowadays she is working as an english teacher while preparing his public examination to be secondary teacher in a public school.

--> María, 25: María is married with David since last April (2016). They are both computering engineers and are working in different businesses.

--> Xavi, 23: This is me. I sudied psychology at the Jaume I University (UJI, Castellón, close to Valencia), and I studied my master's degree on psychopharmachology and drugs of abuse in the Complutense University (UCM) of Madrid. I was living there last year, while studied the master's degree. I was working in a UJI's neuroscience department lab during the degree, so I know lots of things about neuroscience. This is a hobbie.

But I like also playing football. I begun to play in the school when I was very young and I continue playing in an amateur level in order to practice sport. I can also play the guitar and I usually like to watch TV series and to read news.

I like and feel comfortable with children. In fact, I am usually in contact with some of them (nephews in most cases).

In addition, I have done particular classes upon some children about subjects like maths, biology and spanish and catalán (which is my mother tongue).

--> Rosa, 17: She is the fifth. Rosa likes reading many types of novels and is able to draw very well. She is a really intelligent girl and is going to study Translation and Interpretationat the UJI.

--> Pau, 15: He is the last. Pau is already a deep teenager. He likes playing football and going out with his friends.

We are a christian family. Fortunately, all of us are faithful people, so we believe in God and go to mass in the weekend. If I were in England as an aupair, I would like to be able to go to the church. It is an important issue for me.

I have a girlfriend, called Almudena (Almu), since the last four years. She is from Madrid (4 hours in car from Burriana, where I live). So we have a distance but actually nice relationship, and we are very happy.

I want to be in another country because I need to improve my English. Actually I am studiyng here in Spain, but it is not enough to learn how I would like to do.

Almu is living in Brixton (London) as an aupair since the 20th August and she is very happy to be there. Because of that, I want to do the same.

As I said before in the other responses I gave, I feel good with children, and I have also experience with them, although this is not "professional" experience.

However, the important thing is that I "connect" with them and they do the same with me, so we are all comfortable and can have fun.
