My name is Joe and my wife is Andria.

Hopefully this type of advertisement is allowed here. This is not necessarily a money paying job, but an opportunity to live with a family in the United States. The child care is only part time. and the house and meals are the form of payment. If necessary we may be able to discuss opportunities to make some money while here.

We are looking for a student to spend some of their summer vacation at our house in Philadelphia, PA in the United States. We have 2 young children; a 5 year old girl and 3 year old boy. Two summers ago we had an 18 year old girl from Italy stay at our house and it was a great experience, she became similar to an older sister to the children. There is no specific beginning or end date that we are looking for. A period of 6-12 weeks may be best.

We are posting on this topnanny.es website because we visited Spain this past Spring and used this website to find a babysitter. Also, our daughter goes to a school where they teach the entire day in Spanish; we would like her to continue speaking Spanish during the summer. Joe (dad) speaks a little bit of Spanish also.

We are posting to Barcelona because there are direct flights between Barcelona and Philadephia; also there are very cheap flights with Norwegian Air between Barcelona and Newark NJ; which is not that far away.

What we can provide you:
- A house in the center of Philadelphia, one of the great cities in the US
- A very happy family; we could provide the reference of the babysitter we used in Spain and also the girl from Italy who lived with us.
- A chance to practice your English. This is the main reason the girl from Italy came to live with us. She also took classes every day at a local language school.
- Daily meals; at our house or if we go out to restaurants you are more than welcome to eat with us. Also we will be sure to buy whatever food you like to have at the house.
- Summer fun; we like to travel in the summer and every August we go to the New Jersey beaches. It is possible that you could join us.
- Plenty of time to yourself; you would have your own room and a lot of free time. If you do not want to join us for meals or trips, it is not a problem.

What you can provide for us:
- Speak Spanish with our daughter.
- The kids will go to summer school every day but some days you could help get them ready in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon (around 5pm). You could take them to the park after school and on the weekends. Less than 20 hours a week with the kids alone.
- Play with the kids at home while we are busy preparing dinner or doing house chores.
- Occasionally (probably not more than once a week); you could babysit when we go out. Some nights we may even wait until the kids go to sleep to go out.
