Diego, busca niñera en Madrid

Hi!

I’m Diego, dad to Lorenzo, a happy, curious and energetic 3-year-old, and I’m looking for a native English speaker to spend two afternoons hours with him from Monday to Thursday at our home in Madrid (Barrio de la Concepción area).

Lorenzo has been exposed to English since he was born and understands it very well. For us, English is something we want him to experience naturally and positively — not through formal lessons, but through playing, talking and having fun.

So I’m not really looking for someone just to “watch” him for two hours. I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys getting down on the floor and playing with a child, talking to him, asking him questions, telling stories, reading books, singing songs, doing crafts, inventing games or going to the park.

In other words, I’d love to find someone who can be his English play companion and little language coach. 😊

The most important thing is active interaction. During those two hours, I want Lorenzo to hear and use as much natural English as possible while having such a good time that he doesn’t even realise he is learning.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 2 hours each afternoon (8 hours/week)

Rate: €10–11/hour

I’m looking for someone who is a native English speaker, warm, affectionate, talkative, playful and reliable. Experience with young children is definitely a plus, but enthusiasm and the ability to really engage with Lorenzo are even more important.

I’m also looking for continuity and stability. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who can stay with us throughout the school year and become a familiar and special part of Lorenzo’s weekly routine.
